Given that Advent is supposed to be a time of fasting and preparation, and that most of the fun is deferred gratification - waiting for the candle to burn down to day 24, or to see what's in tomorrows window, a chocolate Advent calendar is the exact opposite of what Advent is supposed to do: build anticipation.
