Matt Wardman has done some digging around and discovered that the BBC were trailing the 'Archbishop wants Sharia in Britain' headlines before anyone had the chance to hear the interview. Since the BBC had the interview and broke the story, most people took their cue from the Beeb, who have been desperately pumping the 'should the ABC resign?' story every since. A decent debate has since started, but most of the damage to the ABC can be traced back to the headlines which broke across the web on the first day of the story, from which the press and coverage took their cue.
