The 'Christian' map, 2001 and 2011 census

The BBC has an excellent graphic for comparing the census results of 2011 with 2001. The screenshot above is the map of those who put 'Christian' in the religion question. That's right, 2001 is on the left. You can look at your own postcode in detail by clicking on it.

If you prefer words to pictures, British Religion in Numbers has a good summary

  1. Fascinating, but I want to know what's on your 'to do Dec 2012' list down at the bottom. More importantly, what's document 1!

  2. I was so proud of actually managing a screen shot I forgot about those! But hope you remembered to stop and pray.....

You can also tell I had to look up 'screenshot' online to find out how to do it. Crikey this really gives a lot away doesn't it?

  4. This is subterfuge; only a Protestant counts. One should not expect a Protestant to give their faith to The World, and have the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholics uphold it for them.

  5. The census question didn't ask what denomination people were, it was just 'Christian', so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.
